At 2,241 meters, Mount Orohena is not only the highest peak in Tahiti, it is the highest in the whole of French Polynesia. A hike for athletic enthusiasts which takes about 6 hours, leaving from Mahina and crossing the plateaus of Moto Fefe, Pihaaiateta and Pito Hiti. It is strongly recommended to use the services of a guide.
