Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport is 5km west of the capital, Papeete, and is located near most hotels and resorts. Two domestic airlines, Air Tahiti and Air Moana fly daily to other islands. At the airport you will find snackbars, souvenir shops, a currency exchange office, a cash dispenser, a tourist information counter, and a luggage storage.

French Polynesia is located to the south of Hawaii, between California and Australia. It is in the same time zone as Hawaii. The destination also known as The Islands of Tahiti is spread over a surface as big as Europe and consists of 118 islands, of which 76 are inhabited. The Islands of Tahiti are made up of 5 archipelagoes: the Society Islands, the Tuamotu Islands, the Gambier Islands, the Marquesas Islands and the Austral Islands.

Getting to The Islands of Tahiti

Several different airlines fly to French Polynesia from major interational cities: Paris, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Honolulu, Tokyo, Auchland, Rarotonga.

All international flights land at Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport (PPT), from where flights to the islands are assured by the two domestic airlines, Air Tahiti and Air Moana. Contact your airline or travel agent for more information about inter-island flights.
